Here at Spectra Studios, we charge at an hourly rate ($120/hr). Most session 'days' last between 8-10 hours.

We typically estimate 1 to 2 days to record all the pieces that go into a song.

Usually a half day is spent getting basic tracks (drums, bass, rhythm guitar, keyboards), then a half day of overdubs. Day two is spent on vocals, comping between takes, and edited the music so that it is ready to mix.

We sure hope so! We put a lot of effort into building rooms that inspire creativity and allow a musician to capture their best work.

Let's be honest, home recording software has come a long way and sounds great. There is no denying that. But there is inspiration and things that happen in a proper recording studio environment that don't happen at home. It's a bubble of excitement and creativity.
